The Lisbon Card is an offer from the Visit Lisboa tourist office in the Portuguese capital. This City Card makes travelling much easier and offers numerous benefits, including:

You can easily buy the Lisbon Card online and collect it when you arrive in Lisbon. You can choose between different validity periods: 24, 48 or 72 hours. During this time you can use all the advantages of the card. This City Card makes travelling much easier and offers numerous advantages:
Who is the Lisboa Card suitable for?
The Lisbon City Card is ideal for travellers who want to explore the city by public transport and visit popular sights and museums.
The card makes travelling easier, as you no longer have to worry about separate entrance tickets and public transport tickets. In addition, the City Card pays for itself quickly, as regular users can save a lot of money with the Lisboa Card.
How much does the Lisbon Card cost?
The price of the Lisboa Card depends on the period of validity.
- 24 hours: 22 €
- 48 hours: 37 €
- 72 hours: 46 €
These prices apply to people aged 16 and over. A reduced Lisboa Card is available for children and young people between the ages of 4 and 15. Children under 4 do not need a Lisboa Card.

Just show your Lisboa Card at the ticket office of the attraction you want to visit and you will receive a free ticket. Most of the sights are located in the city centre or in Belém. However, there are also some sights outside Lisbon, for example in Mafra.
The Castelo de São Jorge is not included! A city tour with the hop-on/hop-off bus is also not included.
Please note that a reservation is required for the Torre de Belém. Please contact the Ask me Lisboa kiosk near the tower (Jardim Torre de Belém, 1400-206 Lisboa).

Public transport with Lisboa Card
With the Lisboa Card you can use the city's public transport. The card is your ticket for the entire validity period of up to 72 hours.
You can use the following means of transport:
- Metro (4 lines)
- Tramway
- Bus
- Funicular railways
- Historic Santa Justa Elevator
- Fertagus to Setúbal Bridge Train
- Regional train CP to Cascais, Sintra, Azambuja
By public transport, you can reach all of Lisbon's sights as well as some popular destinations outside the city.

From the airport to the city centre
With the Lisboa Card you can travel from the airport to the city centre. To do this, use the red metro line. To reach the areas of tourist interest, you have to change to the green line (Metro network map).
There are also several regular buses that go from the airport to the city. However, the regular city buses are not suitable for travelling with large luggage.
In addition, the Aerobus runs regularly from the airport to the city centre and back. It is the fastest connection to the city centre, where most hotels are located. However, the Aerobus is not included in the Lisboa Card.
Is the Lisbon Card worth it?
The Lisboa Card gives you free entry to many popular museums and sights. Unfortunately, the hop-on/hop-off buses and the Castelo de São Jorge are not included.
The Lisboa Card is good value for money. If you want to use public transport and visit some sights, you can easily save money with this card.

The pick-up locations are open daily. Opening hours may vary depending on the season. Pick-up at the airport is the easiest.

- Priority entry does not apply to the top attractions.
- The Lisbon Card is not valid for the airport bus (Aerobus).
- The card must be collected after your arrival in Lisbon.
- Some attractions and museums are located outside Lisbon.

How does the Lisbon Card work?
You buy the Lisboa Card online and collect it when you arrive in the city or at the airport. It allows you to visit many museums and attractions for free within 24, 48 or 72 hours. Some of them have fast track access to avoid waiting times.
You can also use all public transport in the city with the card. In addition, there are discounts at some sights and museums in and outside Lisbon.
Can I use public transport with the Lisboa Card?
Yes, with the Lisbon Card you can use the city's public transport free of charge. This includes the metro network as well as the trams, buses and funiculars of the Carris network. The historic Santa Justa lift is also included in the Lisbon Card.
You can also use the bridge train (Fertagus) and some regional train lines.
Is the airport transfer included in the Lisboa Card?
Yes, with the Lisboa Card you can use the metro. With the line "Aeroporto - Saldanha" you can reach the city centre in 20 minutes. To get to the areas of tourist interest, you have to change trains once. With the City Card, the metro is free.
Attention: The airport bus Aerobus is not included in the Lisboa Card!
Can I cancel the Lisbon Card free of charge?
Yes, you can cancel your ticket free of charge up to one day before departure.
How is the Lisbon Card activated?
The Lisboa Card is activated when you use the card at the first sight or on public transport. Once activated, the card is valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours.
When using the card for the first time, you must write your name and the date and time of activation on the card by hand.
Is the Lisbon Card worth it for families?
Yes, the Lisbon Card is also suitable for families. There is a reduced Lisbon Card for children and teenagers between 4 and 15 years. With it, you can use public transport together and visit interesting sights and museums.
