The Reykjavik City Card allows unlimited free use of buses in the greater Reykjavik area. With the exception of bus route 55 to the airport, which is not included in the card.

To use the buses, you only need to show your City Card when boarding. It is not necessary to buy separate tickets or use the Klapp App or Klapp Card, which are normally required for public transportation in Reykjavik.

It is important to note that while the City Card applies to all buses within the city, it does not apply to buses that leave the city limits, such as to the airport. You must buy separate tickets for such journeys.
