With the Bordeaux CityPass, you can discover Bordeaux cheaply and conveniently. Bordeaux City Tour

You can choose between 4 city tours. A combination is not possible. The CityPass entitles you to take part in one tour free of charge. The following options are available:

  • Option 1: Tour with the electric train
    This tour takes you through the old town all year round. An audio guide will provide you with information worth knowing.
  • Option 2: Guided city walk
    On this tour, a professional guide leads you through the old town of Bordeaux. This tour is also available all year round.
  • Option 3: City tour by bus
    On the open-roof bus you will enjoy a wonderful view of the city. During the ride, an audio guide provides information about the city and its history. This tour is available from May to September.
  • Option 4: Boat trip on the Garonne
    The river cruise departs from the Port of the Moon and takes place all year round. A recorded commentary provides exciting details about Bordeaux.

Public transport with the Bordeaux CityPass

The CityPass gives unlimited access to public transport in Bordeaux for 24, 48 or 72 hours. This includes all trams, buses, the Bat3 river shuttle and park-and-ride services.

The park-and-ride car parks are usually open from 5:00 in the morning until 1:00 at night. When you hold your CityPass up to the reader at the entrance, the barrier opens.

The river shuttle takes you quickly from one bank to the other. It is accessible via 5 pontoons.

The use of public transport under the City Pass includes trams, buses, the river shuttle and a park-and-ride ticket. The transport company TBM does not offer a ticket that combines all these options in one card. Therefore, the Bordeaux CityPass may also be worthwhile as a pure mobility card.

You save the most if you also visit about two attractions per day. Especially if you want to visit the Cité du Vin, because the entrance fee is relatively expensive.

Basically, the more often you use the Bordeaux CityPass, the more it pays for itself.

Buy & Collect Bordeaux CityPass

You can buy the Bordeaux CityPass online from various ticketing platforms, including GetYourGuide.com. After your purchase, you will receive a voucher that you can save on your smartphone. You must then exchange this voucher for a physical card in Bordeaux.

Exchange is possible Monday-Saturday 09:00 - 18:30 and on Sunday 09:00 - 17:00 at the Tourist Information Centre.

The City Card is activated with its first use in one of the participating sights and museums. It is then valid for up to 72 hours, depending on the option booked. The validity is calculated in 24-hour units. For example, if you activate your 48-hour card on Tuesday at 2:30 pm, it will be valid until Thursday at 2:29 pm.

If your travel plans change, you can cancel or change your booking free of charge up to 23:59 the night before your visit.
